   This shelf is exactly what you would expect. The construction is very high quality. The brackets are flexible enough that they can be located virtually anywhere along the length of the shelf so you have a good bit of flexibility with where you put the shelf in relation to the wall studs. You do absolutely have to bolt the brackets into a stud since these shelves are designed to hold some substantial weight. I put up 8 of these around my garage along with some of the accessory hooks for ladder storage.

   I purchased 10 of these to put in my garage. It is a very sturdy product and well constructed. The only drawback is that you must hit a stud with the lag screws. I dont think a toggle bolt will give you the weight capacity of the shelves.

   Relatively easy to install [you'll need a level and a power drill], these simple shelves make organizing your garage a snap. If you buy the Hyloft hooks as well, you can store brooms, mops, bicycle gear and backpacks under them. Each shelf holds 150 pounds, which is a lot of weight. I bought a total of 4 shelves (2 two-packs) which cost me just under $100. Well worth it! My garage looks wonderful, and I can find things at a glance. Affordable and cheaper than some garage “solutions” being sold.
