This is not a manufacturing plant inventory stacking shelf make of steel, nuts and bolts. It also doesn’t cost nearly as much. This is for home use; probably not for holding your collection of car batteries in your garage.

It is what it looks like: a plastic shelving unit that’s shockingly easy to put together, reasonably attractive for a plain white plastic shelving unit, low in price and versatile in use.

Clothing or linens? No problem. Light stuff? It’ll handle it. But really, it’s not that limited. Use your common sense and don’t use it for stacking bars of gold or the aforementioned batteries — it’s just not built for that, nor is it priced for that sort of industrial usage.

Wanna know a secret? I’m using it for canned goods. Now, that might be risky; but so far, so good, no sags. But take it reasonably easy, won’t you?

WARNING, WARNING! Alarms should be going off. I’m revising my testimony. But not because of product failure.

I needed another and tried to order another (after three). I was told this was limited and stated so, I could not have another. When I asked where it is so stated, Amazon clammed up, no further meaningful response. And, Folks, you know from my reviews that I’m friendly with Amazon.

I appreciate most of the service this place provides; but to refuse to answer a simple question or make a simple one-unit exception? I mean, it’s not like I’m hoarding these things to start my own competing business. I just found I had need for another matching shelving unit. This is very disconcerting. And very unlike Amazon’s customer service.

So… if you’re redecorating, beware of limitations that are stated; but not openly… somehow. Plan ahead. I solved the problem by finding it cheaper at Sears, shipping adding up to much the same bottom line (with other items found at Sears).

Spend more to invest in a more sturdy product. Product began sagging within in one week of installation. Light weight items placed on unit still caused it to sag.
